First off lets get one thing understood, barbering is a lifestyle. It is something you take home with you, literately, have someone smell the aroma you emit. Don't forget to check for hair on your shoe laces. You Walk into a building, you notice ten people standing in line, you hop in line, if you didn't pull up Instagram and noticed your first post was probably a haircut, you look straight and notice hair is in front of you. you can't help but start appreciating and imagining. "that is great hair", "I wonder what artist did that","what would i have done different", "I wonder if he/she enjoys how it makes them look", if you didn't ask, you move on. In the shop as you may know, is where the magic happens. We aim to make you look your prime all while maintaing an experience we hope you remember. Sometimes the conversations are upliftings. others, not so much. The barber must reach deep into his mind and find the correct words to say to help make that persons day a little better. Other times the barber listening and providing an enjoyable experience is all it takes. It is an amazing journey for it is a complete experience, good friends, good music, good energy, and good money if you have the passion. We jump out of bed at sunrise with the intentions to succeed in aiming to perfect what we love doing.
Are you a barber? Please comment one of your many experiences of being a barber. I would love to read your story.
What is good health? Is it eating healthy, thinking healthy, maybe drinking healthy? In my experiance, it all starts with the way we think and process our thoughts. What are your thought? Are they keeping you in the past or helping you plan ahead? Ive learned, understanding where we have been is the best way to plan on where you want to be. Quiet the mind, carefully observe your surroundings and actions. Anything you would like to change? Take it slow. A slow transition is a key to success. Replace a bad habit by starting a new habbit. Break the patterns we all fall into by trying new things. -Cesar Flores
To some a barbershop is a place you go to escape, a place where nothing matters but the energy flowing in the room. Or is it a place you go to look better than the next man? maybe its a place you go to learn, thats right learn. Wisdom runs deep in a conscous barbershop. The question is, are you paying attention? check out what Joseph Ravenell has to say in a TED TALK presentation.
On this blog we will be posting about interesting conversations that blow our minds that arise in the barbershop. helping you feel connected even when you are not in the shop.
how to videos, products, latest technologies, new discoveries, local news, stories, biographies, autobiographies and much more. stay posted!!
